( UberCon is coming up soon! )
Lots of stuff to do, lots of getting ready, but Kyle and I are getting excited! It'll be great to see everyone again, and there are some people who are showing up for the first time that I'll be pretty happy to see there. :)

I know a bunch of you went to DragonCon.. where are your reviews?! I wish I had gone!! There were so many people that I've been missing lately that were there....
Anyways, my summer was good - we were out in California (East Bay area) for 6 weeks. Went to Yosemite, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Napa, Mt. Diablo, Big Sur, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Muir Woods, etc. The weather was great! The first weekend there, it was about 110 - 115 degrees, but there was a noticable lack of humidity that made it totally bearable. After the 'heat wave', temps were wonderful - again, with the lack of humidity that I'm used to on the east coast.
Now, we're back home, it's rainy, blah. It was humid too, but now its cooled off some, so it's not as bad. Thinking of heading up to Jersey in a week or two for business and other things. :)

Blargh, the Edmonton Oilers are going to the finals.... They beat my team in the first round of the playoffs! Now I have to root for the Eastern Conference team - and I don't care which one it is... The playoff season sucked this year.
And now for something completely different -

Blatantly stolen (ARRR!!!) from my cousin's MySpace bulletin -
My pirate name is:
Calico Anne Kidd

Often indecisive, you can't even choose a favorite color. You're apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!
Get your own pirate name from fidius.org.
(..and yes, this is a repeat of a MySpace post.. hahaha)

RavenCon was a lot of fun, and extremely well-run for any con - and they were a first-time con! I was very impressed! Terry Brooks was the author Guest of Honor, and he was very pleasant (and also very patient, with all the signings he did.. he was a busy guy!). I didn't get to speak with him until Sunday morning, shortly before he left. I sat with him and talked in the restaurant for a few while he ordered some food prior to leaving. It was wonderful meeting him!
I also saw some 'old' friends, like
GeekLabel was the T-shirt vendor at RavenCon... I spent a lot of time stopping by their booth to tell them about UberCon (with the RavenCon ConChair's blessing, of course). They would be a perfect fit, as they have a LOT of RPG and gaming-based shirts. They have a great selection of product and would fit in very very well, and I think we'll be seeing them again....
All in all, it was a great weekend!

Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone!!
Update on life --
-Going to California at the end of the month with Kevin/Nick/Tam/Amanda/twins, Kyle, mom/dad/Annette/Alison/Amy and yes, we're going to Disneyland for the twins' third birthday! (I'm semi-dreading the long flight direct across the country with the twins.. I hope they'll be cute and not cranky.) Scott is house-sitting, since he'll be just starting his new job with Kaiser.
-Working on a way to go to E3 in May.
-Going to RavenCon in April with Kyle.. I'll see some of you there!
-Waiting on tax returns.. I need to pay off some credit cards!
There it is, short and sweet.

| Culinary: | Chips and salsa | They're the only thing I crave on a regular basis - not really a guilt... but, yum! |
| Literary: | Richard Laymon | A little deviant, a little unorthodox, but I do love his books - too bad he's deceased. |
| Audiovisual: | Elimidate | Its SO stupid, but its like watching a train wreck... you just can't stop. |
| Musical: | Def Leppard | Yes, its very 80s of me, but I still love them anyway. |
| Celebrity: | Marisa Tomei | I've liked her in every role I've seen her in... she's just cute (well, before that latest commercial.. |

| You Are Austin |
